My Top 2 Favorite Movies

First post! ✨️ I got too passionate and could only fit in 2 movies 😭 Nice to meet you all~ ① Project Hail Mary (Amazon Prime) A junior high science teacher travels to a distant star in a spaceship to save Earth from extinction. There, he encounters an alien resembling a golem... It's a work full of romance, like a combination of the best parts of countless sci-fi blockbusters like Armageddon and E.T.! The interaction with the alien Rocky, whom he meets midway, is incredibly comical and super super super cute~! The pacing is fast, and the content is very well-organized and easy to understand. It contains all the dreams of 'If I could get along with an alien, I'd want to do this~'! ② To All the Boys: Always and Forever (Netflix) Jill, who aspires to be a top female chef, is a passionate girl who deeply cares for her family. She sends voice messages about her busy life with love and work to her late sister's voicemail. These raw, unread messages accidentally reach a manーー... This was by far the most interesting romance movie I've seen recently. Jill, the protagonist, has such an energetic and tenacious personality that it's truly satisfying to watch. The episodes with her late sister also made me cry 😭

At the movie theater

I went to see the latest Minions movie on Saturday. It was fun overall, but I was sad that the cute little ears I was curious about from the trailer for another movie only appeared at the beginning and the end credits🥺 Since I had pre-booked, it came with a marker charm and a cute Minion ticket, which I immediately put in my album😂 What do you guys do with your tickets after watching a movie?

Nice to meet you all! 🙇‍♀️ Looking forward to interacting with you. ① Paprika I wish I could have watched more of Satoshi Kon's works... ② Sharknado The Nico Nama (live commentary) version in the special features is especially amazing. ③ Space Travelers Everything from the props to Masanobu Ando is spot on for me. ④ Drowning Fish I was torn between this and Renai Shashin, but I chose this one for its comedic feel. ⑤ Happy Death Day I find myself wanting to watch this every year on my birthday. While I tend to watch more foreign films numerically, most of the movies that leave a lasting impression on me are Japanese films. 😌

Went to see "Eve of War" (spoilers included)

I went to see "Eve of War" and it was interesting! (though a bit difficult) It's a story based on a true event, about brilliant young people who gathered to research war and discovered they would be utterly defeated in four months. I thought it was amazing that people back then figured that out. However, knowing it didn't change the country's policy, and even the top leaders knew it but couldn't back down without facing immense criticism, I wondered what the right decision was.

Top 5 Favorite Movies

Nice to meet you all. Are anime works also welcome here?? I decided to join because I want to watch various movies on subscription services and I'm looking for recommendations! 1. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (Anime) This is the epitome of a coming-of-age film! I first watched it as a student, but I still find it great as an adult. I always watch reruns and enjoy reading theories about the ending. 2. Chocolat (Live-action) It features lots of delicious-looking chocolate confections and dishes! A young Johnny Depp appears, but he's not the main character! It depicts daily life with darker themes like a rebellious daughter, a woman fighting domestic violence, and racial discrimination. 3. Summer Wars This is a movie I love just as much as The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. The pacing of the story is excellent! I even bought the soundtrack because I love each character's theme. 4. Spirited Away I generally love all Ghibli movies, but this is my favorite among those I've seen in theaters. I can't honestly say it's just 'vibrant and beautiful'; I like the parts that feel a bit overwhelming or unsettling. 5. Pokémon the Movie: Zoroark Master of Illusions While it might not have been a massive hit among Pokémon movies, it's a personal favorite of mine. Zoroark's cry brought me to tears. I'm running out of characters, so I'll stop here.

My Top 5 Movies

First off, the one I absolutely can't leave out when recommending is 'The Silence of the Lambs'. It's a masterpiece, so I don't think I need to explain why it's good. Next, purely based on my preference, is the 'Final Destination series'. They've released films from the original 'Final Destination' to 'The Final Destination: Death, Deader, Darker', and they're quite interesting, featuring causes of death ranging from plausible to completely impossible. Plus, you can just zone out and watch them without thinking. This is also a matter of taste, but I feel I can't skip the 'Purge series' either? If they set aside just one day a year where any crime is legal, would things turn out like that? The Purge series is quite popular, so I wonder if many people like it? Next up is 'Deep Blue Sea'. It's a shark movie that's hard to believe was made in 1999. I think it's the originator of the 'floating facility' type of movie. The license plate that pays homage to Jaws is fantastic. And finally, 'Sister Act' 1 and 2. It would be hilarious if there was a nun like Deloris, played by Whoopi Goldberg. I've watched it so many times the tape wore out lol. Honestly, I considered swapping out the Final Destination or Purge series for 'The Devil Wears Prada', but I haven't seen the second one yet!!! I'm looking forward to my DVD arriving.

Speaking of Summer… (No Spoilers)… 2 Titles

Sharks 🦈 I often watch them onスカパー (SkyPer), but every year they really push shark movies, so I decided to watch one a few years ago. "Sharknado" 🦈🌪️ I thought I'd watch it casually since it's summer and hot, without using my brain, but I ended up watching all 6 movies and was moved! ✨ Even though it's full of things to point out and you might think, "It's a B-movie, right?" I really want you to watch all 6 movies through at least once. Another one I saw recently when it was broadcast was "Onsen Shark" ♨️ Apparently, it's a movie made for regional revitalization in Atami City. They say the second movie is scheduled to be released next month. (There's also a game that supports playio, you can find it with a search.) This one might be better suited for watching with family or friends and having a blast. Also recommended for those who like muscular physiques 💪
