What is Soldier Chess?
Soldier Chess is: ・It can be called a simplified simulation wargame board game. ・It effectively reproduces the "fog of war" as defined by Clausewitz. ・As a recreated world, it feels like it summarizes and reflects the experiences of the Russo-Japanese War, research from the lessons of World War I, and the early Sino-Japanese War. It seems to reflect the pre-war Japanese Imperial Army and the "De Guai Shi" (German mechanized division), an elite unit of the Chinese Nationalist Party equipped with German-style gear. ・It consists of pieces representing tanks (tanks), aircraft (fighter-bombers), engineers, cavalry, spies, a general's flag (one), landmines (one side?), each equivalent to one person, and pieces representing various ranks of hundreds or more soldiers. ・The rank pieces correspond to infantry units of the following scale: Second Lieutenant/First Lieutenant = Company (300-400 soldiers) Captain/Major = Battalion (1,000-1,300 soldiers) Lieutenant Colonel/Colonel = Regiment (3,000-4,000 soldiers) Major General/Lieutenant General = Division (9,000-13,300 soldiers) General = Army in Japan/China, Corps in the West (tens of thousands) ・Generals (Division, Army) seem to have anti-aircraft and anti-tank units, but appear to lack engineer units. Therefore, they can destroy aircraft and tanks, but are wiped out if they hit a landmine (continued in comments).
