Gonna read it slowly later!

The new short story collection was released today, wasn't it? I'm happy I can get it on the release day even in the countryside.

Back in school, I read a ton of light novels, especially from Fujimi Fantasia Bunko! I loved fantasy stuff and even dabbled in TRPGs, so I followed series like Record of Lodoss War, the familiar Slayers!, and Orphen the Wanderer as the absolute basics. And then there was Fortune Quest. Apparently, they finished it sometime ago, which surprised me!! I enjoyed all those light novels, and while I have memories of them all I'd love to share, I really want you to read Record of Lodoss War: Legend of the Seven Heroes. It details the battles in 'The Deepest Labyrinth' (and the events leading up to it) that are spoken of like legends in the main series. Even knowing the outcome, the protagonist is just so full of charm that you can't help but wish for a more hopeful ending! You can't help but think, 'If only it had gone like this!!' Also, about that person who is revered as a saint in later generations, well, yeah. I'm not a fan... (I suspect many female readers might feel the same) But I do think she's a very human person, for better or worse. So, I don't dislike her, you know. By the way, my favorites are Prince Kashue and Deedlit♡

Takatsugu Segawa's "Spirit Hunter" and "Singing in the Dark" series are interesting. "Spirit Hunter" is a spin-off of the "Singing in the Dark" series. "Singing in the Dark" is also a popular series with new editions available as e-books. The first edition series is out of print due to its age. Both are fantasy novels with a horror leaning, maintaining a bright atmosphere throughout. "Spirit Hunter" might feel a bit slow or rushed in the latter half, but it's a light novel you can read without overthinking. However, um... the female characters are what you'd call "fujoshi" (girls who fantasize about male-male relationships), imagining scenarios with the boys around them, so if you can get into that vibe, you'll enjoy it. I personally was laughing my head off. I can still laugh about it now (with eyes clear as day). "Singing in the Dark" is more serious than "Spirit Hunter". This one also has comedic elements, but sometimes there's a sense of darkness or loneliness at its core. By the way, although Takatsugu Segawa's name sounds male, she is a woman and a veteran fujoshi. Under the pen name Kotobi Segawa, she writes full-on horror. That's also interesting, so please give it a read.

After the 7th volume was released in 2014 with no further updates, a completely revised edition will be published this month. You don't need to have read the previous volumes to understand it, so I think it's easy for new readers to get into.

The Twelve Kingdoms - A new volume is coming out, so I think it's a good time to reread it. Ryuoh's Work is Never Done - It's finished, so I think it's easier to collect now. Honzuki no Gekokujou (Ascendance of a Bookworm) - The anime is airing, and the main story is complete.

They got canceled, but here are 2 I personally want to recommend: The Butterfly That Couldn't Fly and the Orca of the Sky by Fuminoi Teshima The Star-Reading Wizard by Tokiha Mutsumi

This is a story about a haughty princess who, after losing a war, travels with the enemy's second prince, Theobald, while hating each other. These two have terrible personalities at the beginning. However, their relationship drastically changes from the moment they unexpectedly adopt a child. The proud princess, Amapola, cherishes the child and gradually reveals the virtues hidden deep within her heart. Through numerous incidents, they discover each other's good qualities. Eventually, they fall for each other, and it's beautiful. Moon god, demon, dragon. If you like these keywords, I can recommend it.
