A place for hand-held tacos! I went with a friend and had a super fun time!! It's amazing they have Oolong tea, pineapple juice, and even Guarana Orange (bottled)!! The one in the front! Is it pickled onions? It has a sourness that makes the juicy taco, dripping with meat juice when you bite into it, even better! The one in the back! Lots of veggies, avocado included, and a spicy kick! A spicy and delicious taco! It's spicy and delicious, but still, it's spicy! Makes you go 'Hee-haw'! The one on the left! The purple cabbage on top has a strong sourness? It's like pickles and it's delicious! It has two pieces of chicken, and it's so thick it's insane! Biting into it and devouring it fills you with energy! The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside ✨ They felt like a variation of the fries you get at burger joints other than McDonald's. It's amazing that a place that seems to be independently owned (I don't know for sure, but probably) is on the same level as a big chain. Also, the juice is super tasty! Awesome!

Normally, you'd use pork belly for this, but I used thinly sliced pork, so there are some variations in thickness. However, I succeeded with the meat seasoning, making it so good I couldn't stop eating rice! But, the characteristic sliminess of okra affected the texture, and it felt different from okra dressed with mentsuyu (Japanese soy sauce based seasoning), giving it a strange texture. Some people might not like it. What you see in the container is the leftover meat that was short, microwaved, cut into small pieces, and mixed with mentsuyu! If I had bonito flakes, it would have been perfect, but unfortunately, I didn't have any at home... 😣 Even so, it's delicious, and I'm enjoying both okra dishes. (I'll probably leave the mentsuyu-dressed one.) For the other dish, I had some potatoes left, so I made German potatoes for the first time in a while. It's a favorite dish of mine since home economics class. I love the sweetness of the onions, the saltiness of the bacon and salt & pepper, and the fluffy texture of the potatoes. I wonder if I can save some of this for my husband... lol Each dish has its own new discoveries and classic flavors, so when you have the ingredients, give them a try!🍴

Just got back from a drive with my husband! 🚗 💨 We went as far as the border of the next prefecture from our home and picked up dinner from a slightly famous local burger joint in my prefecture! 🍔 It's a bit of a shame I couldn't get clear photos of the cross-section or inside because it was dark and we ate takeout in the car, but I ordered the special burger with egg, cheese, and bacon! The vegetables were super fresh and crisp, and maybe it was the shop's original sauce? It perfectly tied all the ingredients together, and the patty, grilled with a generous amount of salt and pepper, was delicious with a fantastic aftertaste! They had a customization option for double vegetables or double cheese, so I bet double vegetables would be amazing next time too! It was a truly superb burger with a great balance of ingredients that didn't clash, seasoned perfectly! 😋

Sorry that I ate this for lunch and took the picture after mixing it. I thought I'd take a picture after mixing, so this is the state it's in. It's a ridiculously luxurious product currently sold at Lawson. It contained not just meat, but several types of chashu, ranging from large pieces to small, chunky ones, and there were plenty of them. The noodles were a bit firm and the flavor was rich, so it was delicious. Personally, I love the soft, seasoned bean sprouts that come in these kinds of meals... I wonder if anyone else feels the same way? It was quite pricey, but if you have the app, you could get a 100 yen discount with a coupon, making the price similar to regular udon or bento boxes!!

Apologies for the photo while I was eating, but there's a famous shop nearby that sells castella ice cream, so I casually stopped by after lunch for a dessert of ice monaka. ✨ The castella ice cream costs 350 yen each, which was a bit much for my wallet, so I opted for this one instead, which was 150 yen and I hadn't tried it before. 😊 The ice cream flavor inside was yogurt. It's not a flavor I usually have, so one was very satisfying. 👌 If I ever pass by that area with my husband again, I'd like for us to try the castella ice cream together. 😆

I really loved this convenience store's nama chocolate back when I was a student. Now the portion size is so small I wouldn't really consider buying it, but since they made it into an ice cream, I got curious and wanted to try it! The nama chocolate itself has too much cocoa powder, or maybe the nama chocolate is just quite bitter, because it tastes a bit too bitter to eat on its own. The chocolate ice cream part below the nama chocolate is a creamy, mildly sweet chocolate ice cream! I bought it mostly for the nama chocolate, but the ice cream part underneath was actually more delicious! I gave my husband, who was next to me, a few bites, but I gave him more of the nama chocolate part and less of the ice cream part lol Chocolate drinks and ice creams like this are often more bitter than I expect, so I don't usually buy them, but I think I made a good choice this time. Compared to other ice creams, it's still pricey, so how about treating yourself to it as a daily reward! 😋🍨

A little while ago, I got a burger from a major burger chain without the sauce and ate it while driving! I'm not a fan of the soy-sauce-like flavor in their Samurai series, so even though the pictures looked good, I'd always avoided it. So, I tried ordering it 'sauce-free' like the trend that was popular recently, and it was incredibly satisfying! The meaty flavor and the egg's richness, which were previously masked by the strong sauce, really came through, delivering the taste I expected from the photos. ☺️ This is a great way to enjoy burgers that have great volume but are defined by their sauce, or for those who dislike the sourness of the sauce on affordable chicken burgers. It seems like you can even do this when using coupons, so give it a try!

I went to a local FC ramen shop in my neighborhood yesterday, for the first time in about a month! It was a bit later than my usual mealtime, and I was really hungry, so I ended up ordering a set menu! 😆 The ramen was a seasoned egg ramen, with a set that included half fried rice and fried chicken. The seasoned egg in the ramen was jiggly and flavorful, just what I was looking for! As you can see, the ramen itself seems to have quite a bit of pork back fat, and for me, who likes firm noodles and rich tonkotsu broth, the fat felt a little obstructive. However, since it was so hot (I have a sensitive tongue) that I couldn't eat it right away and had to eat slowly, the noodle firmness and amount of fat didn't really affect the taste 🙃 The fried rice and fried chicken came first. The fried rice was fluffy, and I thought it could have used a little more salt and pepper. The fried chicken was thick and juicy! There were three pieces, and I wanted to eat them all, but I was worried I wouldn't be able to finish the ramen, so I gave two to my husband… (I regretted not eating one more later). It's in my neighborhood and the set menu is quite reasonably priced, so I'll probably go again. But I think I'll end up ordering the yuzu soba type here~ I thought, as I enjoyed eating ramen at this shop after a long time, feeling content that day 😊

Here are the chicken croquettes I made last night and a hot sandwich made with the leftovers ✨️ I didn't think I cut that many potatoes for the chicken croquettes, but I ended up with 9 portions. I was frying them, wondering if this might be a more filling option than making tofu hamburgers in the future. Since it's the end of the month and it's just the two of us, we didn't have any rice, but I was able to make a satisfying meal with just the croquettes, and my husband seemed happy with them, so I might make them again? This time, because I was short on cash, I minced chicken breast by pounding it (though it didn't really shred, so it just ended up being pounded) to make the croquettes. Next time I make them, I'd like to use ground meat like a beef and pork mix or pre-packaged ground meat... (or maybe use a Bun Bun Chopper...) The hot sandwich was interesting with the crispy bread and the juicy croquette inside, and since the flavor was already in the croquette, it was satisfying! 😊 I packed it for my husband for lunch, but I wonder if he'll miss out on this! Still, I hope he's satisfied with his meal. Supplement: The okonomiyaki-like dish in the back was made with leftover batter, and the one in the front is microwaved cabbage seasoned with salt kelp and sesame oil.

The store name is visible in the back, but I enjoyed three flavors with a triple pop from a certain chain store! It feels like a good deal for just over 600 yen, even with a waffle cone ♡ From top to bottom: Strawberry Cheesecake, September's new Muscat Basket, and the collaboration new Milky Shortcake (was that also only until the end of September?) I already liked Strawberry Cheesecake, and it had small pieces of cheesecake scattered throughout, offering a smooth texture different from the ice cream, with the rich cheesecake and strawberry chunks matching well! I chose Muscat Basket because it looked cute, and it had a strong fruity grape flavor, similar to Welch's grape juice. It was very rich! Milky Shortcake definitely has a strawberry flavor, but it seemed to have sweet syrup like milk candy or condensed milk in places, so I was biting into the waffle cone with a super sweet mouth 🍦 Maybe because I paired all cake-like flavors, I regretted it mid-way, thinking I should have chosen a different flavor for the top one. How about you all try something other than your usual flavors for an occasional treat? 🍨
