水場(滝、渓流等)好き

This is the lake part of the dam I posted the other day (found a pic after searching lol). It's called Otarunai Lake, and the name apparently comes from the Ainu language, the indigenous people of Hokkaido. There's a museum nearby where you might be able to learn about the area 📖

The first pic is probably 'Naso no Shirataki' The second pic is probably 'Mototaki Fusui' Both are in Nikaho City, south of Akita Prefecture, where the water goes splash splash. Mototaki Fusui = A mystical gushing waterfall at the foot of Mt. Chokai, where about 50,000 tons of water gush out daily from a rock face about 30 meters wide.

I found this photo while looking back through my pictures, but I forgot where this waterfall was () I know it's in Hokkaido, but there are so many similar-looking places among Hokkaido's waterfalls that I have no clue at all lol Still, just looking at waterfalls is so healing~ (っ´ω`c)

The waterfall near the waterfall I posted yesterday... It's visible from the parking lot, so I visit it quite often, but this is the winter light-up versionヽ(=´▽`=)ﾉ I love waterfalls and splashing water, but places you can only see after walking for hours... I hesitate to go Σ(´∀｀；)

There's not nearly enough splashing, but here's a frozen winter waterfall…ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟﾍ)ｱﾋｬ Waterfalls like this, different from the summer ones, really cleanse the soul~

You might ask, 'How many photos do you have?' but this is a waterfall and river I took pictures of in the spring. It's a waterfall visible from Takinoue Park in Yubari, Hokkaido, and I took this shot from a bridge. The rocks visible between the falls have diagonal stripes; apparently, only the softer rocks were eroded by the waterfall along the strata, making them look that way. At this time, the water flow was a bit high because the weather was bad the day before lol Yubari is known as a coal mining town that used to be prosperous. Yubari melons are incredibly delicious🍈

These are Oto-dome Falls, located near Shira-ito Falls which I posted about the other day. It was flowing with tremendous force, and since the weather was bad at the time, it seemed even more powerful and was making an incredibly loud noise. I wonder if this waterfall ever actually stopped flowing, like in the legend or story? If something like that really happened, then it makes sense that it would be named 'Oto-dome' (*´ 艸｀)

After seeing Aoyagi Meari's wonderful 'Lake' post, I wanted to share my favorite lake too! (*^^*) Is this a dam lake? It's a bit sad to see trees from the submerged land still sticking out of the water... And the color is super beautiful(*´∀｀*) Apparently, this is a view you can only see in early spring.

They said beautiful lakes are okay too... This is Lake Utonai in Tomakomai City, Hokkaido, which I took a picture of before. Tomakomai City is often foggy and has bad weather, possibly due to the sea breeze, but this time it was unusually clear, and it was so beautiful that I couldn't tell if it was the sky or the lake~ Tomakomai City has a port, but it's quite a walk from the port to Lake Utonai... If the weather is good, you might be able to see scenery like this~ Depending on the season, there might even be swans👀

These are Shiraito Falls. When I first went to see them, I was surprised by how many places the water was flowing from! There was a duck in the third photo, but I couldn't capture it on camera... w The third photo is where the waterfall and the plunge pool meet, but I wonder if that spot is a comfortable place for ducks? I've gone off-topic from talking about the waterfall, but it was a place where I felt the grandeur of nature (ノ)-ω-(ヾ)ｳﾑ
