Give it to me...! Seriously though, if it's a booster, it's best to use it on the generator when it's empty, especially when there's a booster for a treasure chest quest. It's like using an hourglass when you don't want to complete a quest with hammers or mirrors... I'm at the stage where I'm forced to make high-level items, so even though the hourglass levels up to 6, it gets used up quickly...
