The fastest way to level up is to watch ads to increase both rarity and EXP, then plant seeds and harvest. Make sure to send your harvested crops via rocket frequently. As you probably know, they won't give you any points if you don't send them. You'll use the accumulated EXP to develop better environments (soil, lighting), and so on.
