Giving Up on Hidden Quest

Decided to prioritize other quests, judging it's too tough to get 8 more in the remaining 4 days to reach level 70. I've been playing solo without sending or accepting friend requests, assuming I'd quit at some point anyway. But I wonder if I could have earned more dice or items if I had made friends? This is a personal dilemma common to other games too.
