When was this added?
When did this become a thing? I hadn't used the stonecutter for about a year (or played survival at all before that), so I didn't know you could make stone bricks from cobblestone... Seriously, when did this change?

The Stonecutter was introduced in the 1.14 'Village & Pillage' update. It's a handy block that saves materials compared to crafting tables, making it essential for building, right? If you're returning to survival after a while, you're bound to find lots of new things and have fun!

You should have been able to process various things directly from cobblestone for a while now. As for deepslate, a recent update made it so you can process various things without needing to turn it into deepslate cobblestone first.
