Got the Spirit Master through exchange!

I finally got the 'Spirit Master,' a type of 'Wuxia' character I've been curious about, through the shop exchange! ☺️ In this game, there are support cards called 'Summon Cards' that, once activated, provide continuous effects throughout the battle. This Wuxia-type Spirit Master seems to have abilities specialized for these Summon Cards. The unique trait of this character is: 'The cost of the first Summon Card used each turn is nullified.' When using a card with a cost, you normally need to discard a certain number of cards from your hand to pay for it. However, if it's the first card of the turn, it seems like the cost becomes completely zero. The 'White Crow (Cost 1)' in the starting deck has the effect of 'Gain 1 Yang point at the start of each turn,' and the 'Two-Colored Turtle (Cost 2)' has the effect of 'On Conversion: Gain temporary HP equal to the converted points.' It's great that just by playing these onto the field for free (cost 0), you can secure resources and maintain solid defense with temporary HP, even without dedicated defensive cards. However, while summoned cards automatically attack, which is reassuring, I'm a bit concerned that they might attack even in situations where you'd prefer them not to, like when you need to hold back. 🤔
