Mermaid Event Story Thoughts (Minor Spoilers)

Is this event what you'd call a 'merry bad ending'? (A bad ending for the public, but a happy ending for them) Even as a parody, I thought a certain number of people would be sad about their fave... Accepting the role of sacrificing one's family isn't easy, but the line 'we'll meet again somewhere' is just cruel. You have no choice but to accept it 🥹 Since I'm okay with spoilers, I saw it on X before reading and it seemed like there were pros and cons, but I don't dislike stories like this, so I hope they do them regularly! What's wrong with the people who are negative?? I think people who criticize the developers' approach like that aren't suited for this game... Also, I totally didn't expect my fave to be the cause of me rolling on the floor, I'm just a passerby
