Intersection without traffic lights

Intersections without traffic lights are scary, aren't they? This morning, I wanted to turn right at an intersection with no lights. I checked the curved mirror, thought no cars were coming, and entered the intersection. Then, either I missed it or they were speeding regardless of the limit, but a car was coming. It was super scary 😭 Fortunately, they noticed me and swerved, so I avoided an accident... I really hate intersections that rely solely on curved mirrors. I wish public transportation was better so I wouldn't have to drive. (I know it's impossible since I live in the countryside)
