Fukuoka's Top 3 Udon Chains
People often say that Shin-Suke Udon, West, and Makino Udon are Fukuoka's top 3 udon chains, but I don't think they're the top 3 for Fukuoka residents. I think they're the top 3 udon chains for people in the Fukuoka city suburbs. Makino Udon doesn't exist around Kitakyushu, so it bothers me when TV or other media call it Fukuoka's representative udon chain. I wish they'd at least open stores around Kitakyushu. Ideally, I'd like to see them in the Kyuchi, Chikuho, and Chikugo regions too. I know they're delicious because I've eaten them,

It's certainly puzzling how they claim to be a top 3 chain while being concentrated in specific regions. It must be unpleasant for you to have something only found in one area represent the entire prefecture. I'll be watching to see if this 'Maki no Udon' ever expands throughout the region.

I understand. I'm also based in the Kitakyushu area. I saw it on the media before, but they said they only open stores within a range where delivery can be made within an hour and a half, which is considered the limit for the ingredients' flavor not to drop from the main store. So, as long as this system doesn't change, it seems difficult... Since I have the chance, I'll just leave this here: Higashichikuken is the only udon place I personally like and frequent.
