For wound disinfection, washing with a large amount of water is more effective than applying a few drops of disinfectant.

apparently. (This is medical content, so don't take it as gospel; verification and fact-checking are needed.) Of course, it probably depends on various conditions like the type of wound and where it was sustained. If evaluated from the perspective of 'what percentage of bacteria was reduced compared to the initial state with attached germs,' I feel that a large amount of running water might be more effective in some cases. Ideally, it would be like roughly removing the bulk with running water, then dealing with the remaining 'hard-to-remove bacteria' with disinfectant.

I haven't confirmed if it was actually written by a doctor, or what kind of doctor it is, but I'll leave a link to a related article for now. https://kosodate-doctor.com/wound-disinfection/

I've heard of that. If memory serves... disinfection kills germs but can also destroy necessary cells, so for small wounds, it might heal slower if you use disinfectant, but for major injuries that get infected, it's better to wash with water and then use disinfectant... I think that was it.

A few days ago, I peeled off a hangnail on my thumb... I just left it, and now it's gotten really swollen (;Žω) The swelling is going down, but laziness really doesn't pay, huh.
