If three squares form an L-shape, adjacent to the intersection (only where colors differ) is ×. If the top line is a T-shape with three squares, the horizontal part at the intersection of the vertical and horizontal lines (the middle of the three squares on the top line, where the vertical line of the T is straight) is × (where the three squares are within range and would be cleared by a line). If the same color fills a whole row, that color is × in any row other than that one.
