I thought there was nothing there.

I've been tripping more often in the hallway leading to my front door. It's not like there are things lying around, but my foot catches on something and I stumble. Even if I walk slowly, or try skipping, some days I just trip. It feels like kicking something a bit firm, and it's annoying that sometimes my toes hurt. I tend to be a bit of an idiot and live on impulse, so I wondered what would happen if I tried moonwalking backwards. So, with my partner watching, I decided to give it a try. As a result, I fell over while letting out a strange scream. Rather than 'falling,' it felt like something hit my heel and I sort of rode up onto it, landing on my butt. As I put my butt and hands down on the hallway floor, I think I saw what looked like a man's head and chest area hit the floor. I think I kicked him right in the face with my heel. The moment I saw it, I was so startled and scared that I let out a high-pitched scream I'd never made before, which also startled my partner. I don't know what his face looked like. I only saw it for a split second as I was falling. I thought it was probably a man, but it could have been a woman. Besides, there was nothing there, so there's a chance I mistook it for a person out of fear, and honestly, I hope that's the case. By the way, my throat was hoarse for a while afterwards.
