A special drama starring Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, about a sign language interpreter in court. It aired on E-tele, so it might not be widely known, but it's a mystery drama 😌 The protagonist, Naoto Arai, is the only CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) born to a deaf family. He quits his job as a police officer and becomes a sign language interpreter for criminal court, acting as a witness for the voiceless deaf community to solve cases. What makes this drama interesting is that it's a proper mystery while also appearing to be a human drama. Sign language usually has subtitles, but not for crucial parts. As the story progresses, the way the truth is revealed in court is well-constructed and engaging. I found it very enjoyable.
