The Apartment I Lived In as a Child

I want to share something I only recently learned the truth about. It was an apartment I lived in from birth until I was 4 years old. It was small, so my family of four slept on futons laid out in the living room. One night, I couldn't fall asleep and was tossing and turning when I suddenly felt a gaze. I looked towards the kitchen and saw a white figure!! I stared intently, and it was a woman with long hair, wearing white clothes... but they were stained with blood…. I couldn't see her face because of her hair, but our eyes met. She beckoned to me, and I was so scared… I hid under the covers and trembled, but eventually fell asleep and woke up in the morning. My mother is sensitive to spirits. When I recently remembered and told her about it, she said, "That woman was someone wandering around looking for a child. She saw you and was trying to take you with her…." She laughed, saying she never thought I'd actually see her. "If I hadn't hidden under the covers, I might have been in danger…!?" On top of that, she told me the land we lived on was a makeshift corpse incineration site during the war, so "there are bound to be all sorts of things there…"!?? That winter, we moved to a city-owned housing complex when a vacancy opened up, but I'll save the stories from there for another time….
