I feel the same way! I started for the time quests too. Being called by name is fine, but then they say, 'Say something~ Huh? Can't you hear me?' After someone else replied, 'I can hear you,' they asked, 'Why are you silent?' so I just sent an appropriate sticker and quickly left. I set the comment that appears with my name to 'Please leave me be,' so I thought just listening would be okay. Everyone has their own way of greeting, and it's difficult for an old lady like me, but there are kind people, so I'm managing to clear the time quests. I think if you visit streamers with many viewers, just listening might be okay? But if you're just looking for healing from the cats, it doesn't seem like you need to force yourself to continue. Excuse me for commenting. I believe only the streamer can output audio. There will also be people who enter without saying anything. Not speaking means those who don't type comments. Hope this helps.

When you enter, your stance is displayed. If you don't remember everything that happened, you might want to choose a stance that says 'please leave me alone.' As for the streamer's voice, I'm not sure if it's due to equipment, but I've also listened with the volume maxed out. The streamer didn't seem to know either, so I commented that their voice was quiet, and they made a small adjustment.

How about trying a room with fewer people? On the home screen, there are various tabs like 'Popular' and 'Latest.' There are numbers on the streamers' pictures, and although I don't know what they represent, I use them as a reference.

I'm also the type to just quietly observe. I write 'lurker only' in my profile and visit places where lurking is okay, all while silently screaming 'Just a greeting is fine!!' in my heart. My heart pounds like crazy (◎-◎;)
