A Story That Pushed Me Forward

I haven't had many strange experiences, but something odd happened when I was a child. This was when I was in elementary school. I was walking last in my school group when I felt a 'thump' as if someone pushed my back, which was carrying my backpack. Surprised and stumbling, I looked back. No one was there. But the dent and impact on my backpack from being pushed felt too real to dismiss as just my imagination. I'd sometimes recall it during class and zone out, wondering, 'What was that?' I wasn't scared. On my way home, I recited an exorcism phrase I learned from a manga. I felt a little thrill. It was just a imitation, a game. Then, a tremendous gust of wind blew from behind me. A strangely lukewarm, howling wind that sounded scary. Suddenly, I became scared. I felt like I was being scolded. I hurried home and that night, I felt unwell and came down with a fever.
