Tell me your favorite car manga and anime! (ㅅ´ ˘ `)♡
Random question. When I was younger, I actually worked at a gas station ⛽ for over 10 years. I even got a hazardous materials handling license (Class 4), but… I wasn't actually that into cars lol(;´∀`) The reason I got the license was because it would increase my pay, and back then, I could be in charge of the gas station even without a full-time employee… something like that. Despite that, there was one manga I got completely hooked on for the first time. It was "F"!! At the time, voice actor Toshihiko Seki's performance was amazing and I loved him, so when I first heard the voice of Gunma in the anime… I seriously got goosebumps 💕 Thanks to that, I now welcome manga and anime with cars as a theme. I find anime easier to watch, so right now "MF Ghost" is my top pick. Kanata is just too handsome, both his face and voice ♪ So. What are your favorite, or past favorite, or currently interesting car-themed manga, anime, etc.!! New or old doesn't matter, if you have any, please tell me 😊 I'd be even happier if you could share why you like them ✨ I'll use them as a reference for my next watch!! This time, I'm looking for real car stories. No RC cars or Mini 4WD like in Let's & Go. I'm really looking forward to your comments!

It's ironic that you had an Automotive Technician Level 4 (乙四) certification but weren't interested in cars. It's an interesting turn of events that a voice actor's performance broadened your world. If you like 'MF Ghost', have you already gone through its predecessor, 'Initial D'?

For me, it's Initial D. This manga influenced me to buy an Integra Type R. Makes me want to read it again after a long time.

The New Generation Cyber Formula It's an anime from about 30 years ago, but I think it's the masterpiece of racing anime.

I think it might be a bit niche, but I really enjoyed the original TV anime 'Overtake!' (2023). It's a story about a male photographer who can no longer take pictures of people for a certain reason, and a male high school student who is an F4 racer, serving as double protagonists. The race scenes were thrilling, and it was a great anime that taught me about things like racing car maintenance and the importance of funding. There are depictions of the Great East Japan Earthquake, so it might be a bit selective about who it appeals to, but it's a well-made series.

This might be a bit different, but I really enjoyed 'Tadano High School's Daily Life' 🎵 I learned words like 'Otsushi' from it too (lol) Ah, but it's not car-focused, so maybe it's not quite it (;´Д`)

I think I read Initial D because of my younger brother. It was fun even if you're not particularly into cars.

Good evening 🌛 I heard it was about car manga. For me, I really like Michiharu Kusunoki's "Wangan Midnight" "Wangan Midnight: The Motorized Sport" and "Shuto Kōsoku Trial" (also known as "Wangan Midnight: Tokyo Battle"). Personally, my favorite real car is the 18-RG Celica LB 2000GT 💕 (Though I can't drive it myself). My favorite car to drive was the second-generation Prelude with the door mirrors. I put down a deposit the moment they announced it would come with door mirrors in white, and got the car around when the commercials started airing.
