September 5, 1986: Prince's First Japan Tour (2 shows at Osaka-jo Hall and 2 shows at Yokohama Stadium, totaling 4 performances) Prince and his entourage of 26 people (including his backing band, The Revolution!) arrived at Osaka International Airport (then). It's said that many were surprised by his relatively short stature (around 160cm). There were 30 reporters and 30 staff from Udo Music Artists to greet them, but only a few dozen fans showed up. It seems the entry was so top-secret that information didn't reach the fans. The concert kicked off with 'Around the World in a Day' (1985) (apparently, the curtain didn't rise until midway through the song as part of the performance (lol)), captivating about 10,000 fans that day.
