Why didn't you consult them?

This is a story about a friend from my school days. I reunited with a friend from my school days after a long time. We didn't hit it off like we used to, but we talked about various things. People don't change no matter how many years pass. One night, we were having a lively conversation on the phone, and scary stories like in the old days came up, including a story about a dream related to my friend's illness. Around the time my friend got sick, her aunt was apparently a high-ranking member of a religious group (not ◯価). A dream she had as a child: a woman came out of a well and was holding human organs on her palm. 'It was a kidney,' my friend said. My friend suffers from kidney disease. She said she got kidney disease after having that dream... I heard that. It was really scary to imagine. The place where my friend lived back then was apparently not a very good area either. Later, I heard she took a 'ghost photo,' but I don't know. Still, if she had a dream like that, I can't help but wonder why she didn't consult her aunt, who was a leader in a religious group. It was a group that talked about curing illnesses through treatment. I thought, 'If only she had consulted them...'
