Being Chased

This is part 2 of my high school days story. In high school, our club was the art club, and we used the home economics room. There were only about 8 members in total (across all grades 1-3), just enough to barely form a club. It was when it was just me and my classmates from 1st year, along with the seniors from 2nd year. We got really into telling scary stories. A senior who could 'see things' said, "The hallway is also dangerous, but this place is dangerous too, so it's probably best not to get too excited." After telling regular urban legends and finishing the story about doppelgangers... A 'pakkin' sound, like something cracking, echoed, and the air froze. The senior suggested, "It's a bit early, but let's wrap up club activities and head home," and everyone agreed, heading to the bike racks. When we got to the bike racks, the senior who could 'see things' seemed to relax. When asked what was wrong, they said, "Something a bit nasty was lingering around." Apparently, everyone else also felt something was wrong around the time they heard the cracking sound. "Talking about this here might be a little risky," they said, and everyone looked back towards the home economics room. "It's dangerous, so let's get going. If we leave now, I think I can probably handle it on my end," the senior said, without looking away from the home economics room. We all disbanded and went home that day. To be continued.
