The Couple Without Love
Starring Issei Takahashi and Yukino Kishii. This is a story about a man and woman who are 'Aromantic Asexual,' meaning they don't experience romantic attraction or sexual desire. There was a scene in this drama that made me incredibly frustrated, and I still feel that way when I think about it. It's the scene where the woman, who Takahashi (played by Issei Takahashi) was vaguely dating in the past, offers him her hand to put on a family heirloom ring, which Takahashi's grandmother had given her saying, 'It will be yours someday.' Takahashi was dating her more for his grandmother's sake, but she seemed really excited. Why could she offer her hand with such confidence? Especially since Takahashi is aromantic and asexual, unable to even touch people, let alone engage in romantic relationships. Even if they were just vaguely dating, and he never even touched her, how could she be so confident just because she received a ring from his grandmother? He didn't propose to her or anything, right? I was so irritated with her. I thought, 'She doesn't understand him at all!' Ah, I've been feeling so bothered by this, but venting here made me feel a bit better (lol)

It's totally understandable to feel frustrated by behavior that doesn't consider the other person's feelings! It's really disheartening to see someone push their own agenda without truly seeing the other person for who they are. I'm glad if venting here has made you feel even a little bit lighter!
