Common Traits of Listeners in Declining IRIAM Streams Observed by a 5-Year Veteran
As a streamer and listener on IRIAM for 5 years, I've visited many different streams. Through this experience, I've noticed common traits among listeners in streams that tend to become less active. Today, I'd like to share these commonalities. *Please note that opinions may vary, but I'd prefer to avoid negative feedback. ① 'Constantly Posting Sensitive Comments' This is a given. Listeners start to leave. Streamers who dislike this might try to stop it, but the listener might misunderstand it as funny and ignore the request. This can even lead to the stream getting banned, reducing broadcast frequency and making the stream less active. ② 'Giving Regular or Explanatory Comments Without Being Asked' While it might seem helpful at first glance, other listeners often find it annoying, thinking, 'Ugh, who asked you to do that?' These listeners tend to monopolize the streamer's attention, which can make the stream less enjoyable overall. A close friend of mine even quit because of this. ③ 'Appealing with Emojis' This is a classic sign of someone seeking attention. It disrupts the conversation and planned activities, ultimately driving away other listeners and leading to a decline in activity. This is just a part of it, and there's more to come.

I know because I live on a streaming app called Reality. Here, they were violent and condoned it, or spoke words that weren't even Japanese, as if they didn't know the language. It wasn't foreigners, they just couldn't hold a conversation at all. While there are definitely problems on the listener's side, the streamers are also diverse, so this issue seems endless no matter how much you dig into it. There are also many listeners who clearly harm others and commit defamation, so I genuinely think they should read the initial instructions carefully when starting the app. Before that, I wish they'd learn the law...

The unspoken rule passed down since ancient times: "Don't stand out." The fate of those who don't abide by it is always the same.

I've only been on IRIAM for 3 years, but I get the impression that there are many sparsely populated streams where the problem lies with the streamer. Or rather, it feels like bad streamers attract bad viewers. I usually stick to my regular streams, but when I hop around to different ones for points, I find a lot of streams that make me go 'oh(´・ω・`)...' which is kinda interesting.

It's often not the streamer's fault... When listeners who are like clueless kids constantly hang around, things can quickly go downhill... Well, it's not just for LIVEs, but even in games, in guilds that value communication, if someone who doesn't read the room keeps talking, nobody else will... (Then they start making private chat groups behind the scenes to badmouth others)
