母の生まれ育った山村の話
一度投稿したのですが、すぐに削除されたので伏せ字満載で投稿します 母が生まれ育った山村での話です 首〇り神というものがその村にいました 首〇神に遭うと、その人は首を〇ってしまうのです ある牛飼いの男性が、神とかち合いました 「首〇れ、首〇れ」 そんな風に囁き、あの世に誘う神に牛飼いは懇願します 「俺がいなくなったら放置される牛が可哀想だから待ってくれ」 そう言って牛を自宅に置いてきた牛飼いが約束通り道に戻ってきて見たものは、別の男性が木に〇り下がっている姿 母が小学生の頃にはさすがに問題にされ、神が住まう水車小屋を取り壊したそうです これにより、神は出てこなくなったとか 祖母と母にこの話を聞かされた私は疑問に思いました 「神様なのに祠ではなく水車小屋なのはなぜ？」 菅原道真や平清盛、崇徳院のような怨霊を祀った御霊信仰というものがあります この神も、御霊なのでは？ おそらく、村でなにかあったのでしょう なにがあったのかは聞きませんでした 藪蛇とは怖いものですから ちなみに〇に入る言葉は「吊」です

More like a yokai or spirit than a god. It'd be nice if it were a god that brings good fortune, but I don't like that kind of god. Still, it's an interesting story.

I think it's a vengeful spirit. Maybe it fled to the village for some reason but was betrayed by the villagers and died in anger. They feared its wrath and deified it. The hut was probably where the person who died in anger hid. It's good that it stopped appearing after the hut was destroyed, but I wonder if it can finally rest in peace now?
