A Dream with a Mysterious Rather Than Scary Impression
What kind of image do you all have of dreams? For me, some dreams often consist of multiple parts. And it's not like they unfold over a few days, but rather, there are dreams that I recognize as continuations of previous ones, even with years in between. I once heard somewhere that people who dream in color have psychic abilities, and most of the dreams I remember are in color. With that preamble out of the way, I'll be posting parts of my dreams in the comments.

To see things continue year after year is like a movie, it feels so strange and wonderful! It's also really lovely that your dreams are in color. I'd love to hear more about what kind of world it is.

Author【Art Museum】 This is a dream from about 30 years ago. I was in an art museum with primarily white walls. Various paintings were displayed. However, as a child, I didn't understand their value and explored the museum. I went through narrow paths and passages that adults might not enter, going deeper and deeper, and found a painting that covered an entire wall in a large room, big enough for a two-story house, depicting a single coniferous tree. Whether it was its size or the rarity of only one tree being depicted, when I touched the painting, I was suddenly in a forest, as if teleported. Behind me was a small waterfall about 3 meters high. To my left and right were large mushrooms, about as tall as my body. Excited by the mysterious scenery, I moved forward, wondering about it. The mushrooms on the sides made it difficult to move, but the path ahead felt intuitive. It was like a small adventure with lush green surroundings. I emerged into a clearing surrounded by trees, and I was the only one there. Drawn by the fantasy-like landscape, I continued onward and reached a spot overlooking the forest. As far as I could see, it was covered in dense green forest, and I felt the absence of people. Continuing further in, I reached an open space with no trees, and in the very center was

AuthorThere was a tree in that painting. When I touched the tree, I returned to the front of the painting. After that, I went back the way I came, and woke up. I told my friend it was a fun dream I had adventuring.

Author【Art Museum Part 2】 The dream from Part 1 was from when I was in lower elementary school. This Part 2 dream occurred around upper elementary or middle school. I realize I'm in an old, dilapidated building. Most of the original features are gone, and the paintings have been removed, leaving only sun-faded marks, which makes me realize it's an art museum. Relying on vague memories, I proceed further inside and pass through a hard-to-find door, arriving in a large room that seems to be covered in cobwebs. There, I find frames that could cover an entire wall. However, the only painting displayed was of a large, single tree, appearing as an old, leafless, withered tree. Feeling a sense of wonder, I touch the painting, and just like before, I'm transported into a forest. But while the atmosphere was the same as that time, the scenery had changed. The waterfall behind me was unchanged, but the mushrooms on the left and right were gone, replaced by streetlights installed at regular intervals. Some trees remained in the forest, but they gave an impression of being managed, and the path was made easier to navigate with stepping stones placed at intervals. Following the path, I reach a plaza. It felt less like a forest clearing from before and more like a park with a well-maintained path around the perimeter, streetlights, and a few people strolling. There were also benches where people were relaxing. I proceed further towards a spot where I can get a panoramic view of the forest.

AuthorGoing there, a town spread out below. The trees were mostly gone, and a town stretched out. Moving further in, I reached an open area. There was a large dead tree... or rather, there wasn't. There was a huge tree stump. When I went to the stump, there was a white box at its base. As I picked up the box, I was back in the museum. A stranger, an old man, was behind me. "It's closing time." I showed the box to the old man, whose presence I hadn't noticed, "Here." He told me to "Open it," so I opened the box. Inside was a 2cm teardrop-shaped brown object, like a plant seed. The old man smiled gently. Suddenly curious, I looked at a painting I had turned my back on. It had changed from a dead tree to a depiction of a freshly dug pile of earth. "It's time to go home now." Urged on, I left the room. I passed through what felt like a hidden door, different from the one I entered. I woke up. I immediately knew it was the continuation of that dream. I felt a sense of sadness that the museum had become a ruin, that the tree had withered, and that nature had turned into a park, but I also felt a sense of satisfaction from being able to plant the seed.

It was a dream story like something out of a foreign fairy tale. I was excited while reading it too, but I felt sad at the end. Does 'the exhibition closes' mean the end of the dream? I'm personally hoping the seed grows into a big tree. Please post again if you see the continuation of the dream🙂↕️
