You can get one skill that can be inherited by a ghost through a lottery, so if you raise it to the end and make it a ghost, it will help you collect coins and acorns. The lifespan is until they reach 14 years old and fulfill their natural life, but sometimes they live a little longer even after turning 14. I don't know why though 💦 Also, the reason it doesn't evolve to ☆5 is if it has experienced 'poor condition' 4 or more times.
