Good morning, everyone.
Good day. Today, we're talking about toilets. For those of you thinking, 'What a topic for the morning,' please feel free to return another time if you're inclined. Otherwise, this is a spoiler space. You know those big, round dresses with the wide hoop skirts that ladies of high standing wear? And how they always have a lady's maid with them? Well, it has to do with their bathroom situation. In an era where flush toilets didn't exist, and even basic restrooms weren't well-developed, if one needed to relieve themselves outdoors, they'd have to find a secluded spot and do it discreetly. Think of it like a portable toilet and a privacy tent from an emergency preparedness kit. That's right, a basin would be set up inside the dress. And since the lady's maid would handle the wiping, it was kept quite clean (by the standards of the time). After making all possible arrangements, they would proceed with the utmost elegance. Isn't that just wonderful? Why this story, you ask? My stomach hurts... I ate too much kimchi stew last night because it was so delicious... As the weather gets colder and warm foods become more appealing, please remember to take care of your stomachs too...

Greetings🌹 I recall being shocked when I read in a book during my younger days about the unusual relationship between 'clothing and impurity' in France...

Elegance is a kind of pretense, isn't it? How to gracefully handle the unavoidable is also part of a lady's power! 😆 Are you okay with your tummy ache? Please be careful as the temperature is still high amidst the frequent rain. Stomach pain can even bring down Buddha! 😵
