Red Light

A woman was driving her car out somewhere. The traffic light at the intersection ahead was red, but she didn't stop and proceeded to drive through. She didn't break any traffic laws, there were no accidents, and absolutely no problems occurred. Why could this be? This is the first problem I've created entirely from scratch. Please let me know what you think. [UPDATE] An answer has been found. However, if there are still people who want to think about it themselves, I'll continue if you ask questions.
