Momotaro Book Report ①

The most important part of this story is that even if a being is different, if you show it kindness, it will repay that kindness. For those who don't know the story, here's a summary: ① An old couple finds a giant peach in the river and takes it home. ② A human child emerges from the peach, and the couple raises him. ③ Because ogres have been causing trouble in the village, the grown peach-child goes to defeat the evil ogres. ④ They make the ogres repent, and they all live happily ever after. As you can tell, this is a fantasy story. Humans are born from plants, ogres, who are clearly non-human beings, appear, and within the story, there are also animals that speak human language and foods that can draw out dramatic power just by eating them. However, despite the many strange occurrences compared to the real world in this work, the ogres are depicted as monstrous beings that humans find difficult to accept. But, in contrast to the protagonist, who was born from a peach, sharing a similar situation with the ogres, (To be continued in ②)
