Trivial things connected
This will be long.... It's a story from when I lived somewhere else before. The first trigger was when the elderly neighbor next door passed away. A little while after that, the house next to theirs caught fire. A baby boy died. I remember the bright red baby I saw when I was helping to carry buckets of water during the fire, even though he had passed away. Then, some time later, the husband of the house next to ours (which was also next to the house that burned down) passed away. Apparently, he had a liver disease. I thought he was the picture of health... but then I thought, 'Oh, I see.' And then my father got lung disease and passed away. After that, there were no more deaths in the vicinity, but I later realized it wasn't peaceful. The house diagonally across the street from ours has a wife who is his second wife. His first wife left him, leaving their child, because of his affair. Their eldest son became delinquent and their house turned into a hangout for delinquents. In the neighborhood about a five-minute walk from my house, the husband is alive, but his wife passed away. The house next to them, the husband died of illness. The house next to them, the wife left. Maybe because of her affair? ââ

At a place where countless sorrows have converged, I can only imagine the immense pressure you must have endured. I deeply respect your strength for being able to speak so calmly even while carrying those memories. I sincerely hope that peace now fills your heart.

It was so loud.' I didn't know that as a child. They divorced after endless fights and moved. But it left a lingering feeling. A woman from a bar⊠The husband of that delinquent kid's family divorced his wife due to infidelity. He brought the woman from the bar home, and their son became a troublemaker. Later⊠this couple has already passed away. From illness. And the biggest reason I thought this neighborhood was strange was that the husband of a family who had lived here forever, right across the street, passed away. To be continued

AuthorOne day, the husband came to my house and said, 'We're rebuilding the house, so it'll be noisy for a while. We apologize in advance.' He seemed healthy. I thought his daughter must be getting married and they'd be living together. Then, a few days after the new house was built, there was a funeral notice at that new place... I was shocked. I wondered who it was, and then the wife came out holding the husband's photo, followed by his family, and they got on a bus. Right after the new house was built, the husband passed away. I thought, 'He seemed so healthy...' and really felt like this whole area is strange. Maybe I'm overthinking it, though.
