Rain Alert Information

As of yesterday, the peak of the rain was expected around noon today, but from last night into the early morning, torrential downpours lasted for a long time. As a result, Level 4 danger warnings were frequently issued, and a Level 5 Special Heavy Rainfall Warning for Landslides was issued in Sakura City. Changes are also being seen in the rain forecast, which was expected to start around noon today. The cause of the heavy rain before the typhoon's approach is attributed to the stimulation of the previous rainy season front. Short-term forecasts indicate that even if it becomes temporarily intense within the predicted range, it will not be for an extended period. However, the cumulative rainfall has already reached a considerable amount, and various heavy rainfall warnings for landslides have been issued. There are also predictions of linear precipitation zones forming, making major disasters inevitable wherever they occur. We have already passed the first day's difficult phase, but vigilance will continue. Currently, the strong wind zone of the large typhoon is covering a wide area from Kanto to Kinki and Shikoku. The direction is solidifying towards the northeast, north of Hachijojima, south of Miyakejima, and off the coast southeast of Kujukuri Beach. Impact of the storm zone: Chiba Prefecture 80%, Shizuoka Prefecture 41%, Ibaraki Prefecture/Kanagawa Prefecture 34%, Lower Tokyo Metropolis 18%. Based on the predicted path and storm zone, the area of maximum concern will be Chiba Prefecture. Predictions suggest that the total rainfall will further accumulate and exceed that of the August Reiwa 8 heavy rains in Chiba. Please note that the deadline for initiating evacuation actions is noon today, and we pray that everyone takes appropriate measures.
