My Elder and Cat

The manga is being adapted into a drama. Masao Kusakari stars as the "elder," and Ryunosuke Kamiki voices the "cat," Fukumaru. One day, a man stops by a pet shop. He decides to adopt a cat that's been left unsold. From the world's perspective, everyone has traumas and worries, and there's always someone watching over them. This is a drama that warms your heart every time you watch it. The manga is wonderful, but... the drama was also fluffy and truly wonderful. In this drama, Fukumaru is represented by a puppet. There seem to be mixed opinions about the puppet Fukumaru, as a measure to consider the burden on animals... I think it was a great success! Like Bunraku puppetry, I felt that there's a certain realism that comes from it being "a puppet manipulated by humans"...! Go take a peek into the lovely, love-filled days of Fukumaru and the elder!
