Nostalgia and Excitement!

I just entered Chapter 3, but my characters are around level 50. However, I haven't gotten the right equipment yet, and I'm too anxious and scared to proceed. My party, including the main character, always has Kessler and Ludon. By placing Kessler in front of or behind the main character, the main character can put Kessler into a KO state to apply buffs. Kessler, when near death, recovers and gains ability buffs when HP drops below 50%. I got hooked on the strategy of strengthening Kessler with Ludon's skills that activate when an ally is near death and then attacking. However, my concern was that other characters besides Kessler would trigger these skills automatically when they were near death. I haven't pulled Grammiyo yet, but if I do, I'll have to remove Kessler and Ludon from the party, which makes me a little sad...
