Is it possible to win with Splash Ball?

I'm always stuck in second place. My teammates seem to not understand the rules, like defending other colors or scoring own goals. It's sad. I just wish they'd at least understand the rules. Defending in front of the goal is also difficult to control, so I tend to rush the offense, but if there's no goalkeeper, you almost never win, so the barrier to entry is too high. There are fishing bait in the rewards, so I'm trying my best, but I feel like it's just too harsh for regular mobile players.
