Common Mistakes People Make When Rushing Before a Test
The day before a test, are you desperately trying to memorize your notes word-for-word? Staying up late at your desk, only to be satisfied with making a neat summary notebook. I'm sure everyone has had that experience. But actually, that's a really wasteful way to study. No matter how much time you spend memorizing, humans are creatures who forget more than half of what they learned by the next day. That's why what's important isn't 'desperately memorizing,' but 'practicing recalling.' Instead of staring intently at your textbook, try closing it and asking yourself, 'What was written in there again?' It's in those moments when you struggle to recall, thinking 'What was it?', that your brain's memory drawers are strongly trained. People who are good at memorizing aren't special geniuses. They just 'recall' things a little more often than others. How about trying to recall what you learned today just once while you're in the bath? That alone will drastically change your score tomorrow.

Oh, so practicing recall is essential for memory consolidation. That approach of emphasizing output over input is truly intellectual and impressive.

*゚∀゚)*。_。)Yeah, yeah This is my personal study method from when I was in junior high, but repetition is really important. Do one page, check the answers ➝ solve the problems on the same page again. I applied this to the entire test range and repeated it... Then I could memorize about half of it... Glad to see someone else thinks similarly. Thanks for the helpful info! ( *´`*)
