Record-Breaking Long Rain
Apparently, Tokyo has observed 34 consecutive days of precipitation, setting a new record for the longest stretch. I kept seeing and hearing phrases like 'gloomy skies' and 'possibility of scattered showers' on the weather forecast, but I never imagined it would last this long. Could this also be due to the super El Niño?

I'm surprised it's lasting for 34 days! Isn't it wonderful to try and understand the mechanisms of the weather?

It feels like just yesterday people were complaining about being depressed by the heatwave even before summer officially started. Now, with the cloudy trend since late August, I wonder what was better: the long rainy spell and lack of sunshine, or the reduced lingering heat? Heat and coolness are a trade-off, but with disasters that can hardly be called peaceful occurring, it's truly troublesome weather.
