A story about how you can do point-earning activities even with such devices
About a year ago, I received an Amazon Fire tablet (2020 version) and a Bigme751C, an Android-based e-book reader, from an acquaintance. Despite their performance limitations, I'm using them for point-earning activities. First, neither device comes with the Google Play Store by default; they have the Amazon Appstore or sketchy overseas stores. So, you'll need to enable Google Play (this involves methods that are at your own risk, but you can find them with a Google search) to install apps from there.

I also use Play Store on my Amazon tablet at my own risk, but some apps don't play ads properly. Poim didn't work, but I can use it for ReciChallenge and SumaNews.
