Friday Weather Overview, Weekend Forecast, and Typhoon Analysis

On Friday, clear weather conditions are expected across most of Japan, excluding Okinawa, Hokkaido, and the Kanto region. Cloudy skies or rain in Kanto are due to the influence of a low-pressure system pulled by a typhoon. While cloudy weather will persist throughout today, strong sunny spells are anticipated nationwide tomorrow, except for Hokkaido. This precious sunshine, combined with it being the weekend, makes it an ideal time for laundry or outdoor activities. Meanwhile, Typhoon No. 27 has currently developed to 998hPa and is expected to intensify into a strong typhoon by Sunday. Most ensemble forecasts from various countries predict that it will not approach the Ogasawara Islands, but will skirt the mainland while bringing some areas into its strong wind zone. It is expected to make its closest approach on Wednesday, with an estimated impact limited to whether the strong wind zone will affect the Chiba coast. Given the absence of fronts or low-pressure systems over the mainland around that time, it remains uncertain how much of an impact Typhoon No. 27 will have in terms of severe weather. Caution is likely only necessary for those involved in activities in the Ogasawara Islands and surrounding waters. For the upcoming week, a tendency towards cloudy weather with some rain is expected, but signs of clear skies are also anticipated. With little indication of rising temperatures, you should be able to enjoy the autumnal seasonal feel. We hope you can fully enjoy this period without the need to worry about disasters.
