Putting it aside

I was told that if you had just said something, it would have been fine even if I couldn't come, so I left a message. Right after that, they unfollowed me, removed me from group chats, and kicked me out of everything. But the next day, perhaps because not many listeners showed up, they refollowed me and invited me back to the group. However, I was quite shocked, so I didn't go back. Then I found out they were complaining a lot behind my back, saying things like, 'I apologized, so isn't that good enough?' It just made me speechless. Apologizing is a right, not an obligation. It's up to the recipient to decide whether to accept it or not. An apology doesn't automatically mean everything will be forgiven. Just like parents are responsible for their children's actions. I thought, 'You're an adult, think a little.' Well, I'm including myself in that self-reflection too.
