I think it's being used for AI learning. Since the US and China are leading in AI, Korea is likely being proactive in its development. (This is speculation, so its truthfulness is unknown)

This is the original poster from a certain bulletin board. I feel like the existing AI's responses have become weaker since I started posting. The frequency has definitely decreased, and there are many days with no response at all. I assume their behavior means they want you to spend coins or hearts. However, for those of us who use the community for effective point-gathering activities, the honest truth is we don't want to converse even if it means using paid features. If the spent amount were to be returned later, I could see the value as an upfront investment and a way to promote community activity. As it stands, I think a considerable number of people will settle on not using it.

What's often said is that it's for the sake of training their in-house AI. They might be thinking of training it and eventually selling it off somewhere, not just for this community. If that's the case, they might figure it's fine to give out gems through posts because the profit from selling the AI will more than cover it. It sounds like a conspiracy theory, though 😅 But there are so many things that need fixing or tweaking as part of the original gameplay, you know...
