Since it's already an era where beams fly more than physical projectiles, if you're going to boost defense, wouldn't it have been better to strap on a massive generator and deploy an I-field? Or, instead of an I-field, maybe equip a diffusion mega particle cannon and try to hit mobile opponents head-on? As usual, it'll probably get rejected with 'the cost is too high~'. Classic MSV stuff.
