Rune Factory Series

Personally, I liked up to 4. Starting from 5, the system changed a bit and action elements were added, which made it a bit difficult for me. So I'm still debating whether to play the Dragon Country arc. However, I do like the gameplay of interacting, gathering materials, and crafting weapons and armor. By the way, my favorite character is Selzaeed.

I had the exact same feelings, and in conclusion, I'm playing the Dragon Country a ton. My days melt away with daily greetings. It doesn't take as much time as farming in 3.4, but I spend a lot of time interacting with characters instead. Also, I can't pull all-nighters anymore. The action is easier than in 5 (I think) - there's no complicated stuff like Seed Circle. Dragon Country is fun :)

Thanks for the info. So it's a bit more forgiving than 5? I love the series, so I want to play it.

It was a bit disappointing that the voice actors for Rune Factory were so great but it wasn't fully voiced, and the female protagonist was cute but couldn't be romanced. However, I played the game again after a long time since the first one. The combat system where you fight alongside companions was great, the characters were well-done, and it was really fun.

I'm not very good at games, so 4 was incredibly difficult and I couldn't clear it to the end. That said, I prefer 5's combat system because even a bad player like me could finish it, though I liked the characters in 4 better! I felt like 5 had fewer events compared to 4~

I was worried if the Dragon Country would suit me. In retrospect, I think my worries were unfounded. While 5 was indeed a challenging title, and Dragon Country itself is a new endeavor different from the numbered entries, I believe it's a very accessible game even for those not skilled in action. However, the divine artifacts are so overwhelmingly powerful that I feel the opportunities to experience growth through strengthening weapons and armor are somewhat diminished.

So the Dragon Country is interesting, but the system feels different? Thanks for the info. Sounds like it's worth a try.
