A Thief Cat Appears (Attempted)

Yesterday, my husband brought home two fish (from his civil engineering company). They're called 'akou' fish, and you might not be familiar with them unless you're from the Seto Inland Sea coastal areas? Yesterday, my husband struggled to prepare the bigger one as sashimi. 😀 I don't have a sashimi knife at home, so he used a deba knife. It wasn't thinly sliced, and the skin wasn't removed, but even though it's a firm-fleshed fish, it was fresh and delicious. 🥰 I grilled some sashimi for the 😹 in the toaster oven. They devoured it… For tonight's dinner, I'm stewing the remaining fish and the bones from yesterday. Before stewing, I grilled some of the bones for the 🐱 in the toaster oven (just like yesterday) on aluminum foil. Today, I removed the bones and put them in a separate container. I heard a noise in the kitchen a little while ago and went to check. It was sniffing around the aluminum foil where the fish had been. 🥲 Aluminum foil isn't food, you know—😅 Fortunately, the flaked fish meat was still safe because it was covered with plastic wrap. 😑
