Today's Incident 10/4/2026 (Sun)
I was planning to marinate some sliced yellowtail (buri) and mackerel (hokke) with shio koji and shoyu koji respectively, and was carefully wiping them with kitchen towels to remove any fishy smell... And then I found a parasite for the first time in my life. They really do exist, huh?

AuthorThe one that was alive was properly eliminated with a cup of hot waterð They say freezing or boiling water is effective against parasites. I'll continue to carefully wipe away blood and cook raw fish from now on. Upon checking with my mother, it was a wild-caught one from a supermarket I frequent, so everyone be careful tooâ ïž

AuthorIt's not found in farmed fish, so it can be said to be proof of being wild-caught.
