Weather, Temperature, and Typhoon Forecast

On Monday, due to the influence of a cold low-pressure system with a front approaching the Sea of Japan, the general outlook is cloudy with occasional rain. In Niigata, temperatures are expected to rise sharply due to the Foehn effect. Meanwhile, Tuesday will be sunny nationwide, with temperatures in the rest of the country, excluding Niigata, feeling like the lingering heat of summer. While the maximum temperature will be around 29 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature will be around 19 degrees, resulting in a 10-degree temperature difference within the day. As the risk of temperature-difference allergies is high, please be mindful of measures against the cold. Typhoon No. 27 is expected to develop into a large and extremely strong typhoon, intensifying to 935hPa with an estimated maximum instantaneous wind speed of 65m/s. A wave warning is currently in effect for the Ogasawara Islands, and a Level 4 wave warning may be considered depending on its approach. The typhoon is forecast to pass by the islands and move eastward, so the impact of No. 27 will be limited to the waves. Separately, a low-pressure system moving westward near the Marshall Islands is expected to approach, with its influence beginning next Saturday. Additionally, a hurricane that formed in Mexico may cross the International Date Line and could be identified as a new typhoon. The Japan Meteorological Agency is urging early preparations, as two typhoon-level systems are expected to have an impact next Saturday and Sunday.
