If you look at the Touken Danshi's Tōkenchō (sword register): There's Normal, Battle, Injured, Shinken Hissatsu (Serious Injury), Naiban (Off-duty), Keisō (Light Outfit), and Shuku-sō (Celebratory Outfit). Among these, the ones that won't fill up unless you intentionally collect them are: Shinken Hissatsu, Naiban, Keisō, and Shuku-sō. *Note: Injured is omitted as it fills up when you collect Shinken Hissatsu. First, regarding Keisō (Light Outfits), you can obtain them with Koban (coins) or a Keisō Exchange Ticket. It costs a considerable amount of 50,000 Koban, so it's best to buy them when you have spare resources. Next, Shuku-sō (Celebratory Outfits) are a premium feature that uses Kōshukin, so it's up to your personal discretion. For Naiban (Off-duty), it's best to collect them through the Field Duty. You can also collect them through Horse Duty, but since that increases your Scouting stat, which isn't normally raised, it's a waste of a slot. Lastly, for Shinken Hissatsu (Serious Injury), make sure to collect these as soon as you obtain a new Touken Danshi. Here's how: Deploy the Touken Danshi to map 1-1 Hakodate without any sword equipment (Tosō) and get them to a medium injury state. Once they're injured to that point, equip them with Tosō and repeat until Shinken Hissatsu appears. This way, you can collect them. The reason to do this immediately upon obtaining a new one is that when you rank up from base to Toku (special), the Touken Danshi's HP fully recovers, so no repairs are needed. Also, when they reach Kiwami (extreme), they are recorded separately in the Tōkenchō, so you need to collect it without fail when you first get them.
