JIN -ä»-
I think this is a masterpiece among masterpieces âš Starring Takao Osawa. I've watched it so many times I've lost count, and I cry every time I watch it 𥹠It's the story of Jin Minakata, a doctor played by Takao Osawa, who time-slips to the Edo period, creates penicillin, and saves people by making the most of modern technology despite the lack of medical equipment. Ryoma Sakamoto, played by Seiyo Uchino, also appears. Tetsuya Takeda was great too 𥹠Miki Nakatani as the oiran is beautiful, and Haruka Ayase is pitiable and cute ð I haven't read the manga, but I heard the ending is different from the drama. Anyway, it's a wonderful work, so please watch it if you get the chance ð There are 2 seasons of the drama.

I haven't read the original either, but I've watched the drama many times! It gets deeper with each watch, and I love that parallel world-like worldview ð

The theme song from JIN-ä»- came back to me â« Many actors have played Sakamoto Ryoma in dramas, but Uchino Seiyo is my personal favorite ð "It's penicillin~"

I love JIN-ä»-! I've watched it so many times, but I still cry every time ð Miki Nakatani's portrayal of Nofukzu is not only outwardly beautiful but also a noble and wonderful woman within, and Masanori Uchino's Ryoma has a different charm compared to other portrayals of Ryoma, which I also love! Kenta Kiritani's Dr. Saburi is also a great character I like, and the episodes with the child actor playing Kiichi are all tearjerkers, making it a drama I really love!! There's so much more charm, but I'm frustrated by my lack of vocabularyâŠ!

I absolutely love it! I've watched it many times, but I cried even more during the binge-watch broadcast during the pandemic ð The actors were also incredibly good, and once I start talking about it, I don't think I'll be able to stop lol. There are too many great scenes to choose from, but since it's a medical drama, I particularly liked the episodes about real medical professionals like Dr. Ogata and Dr. Taki. To briefly describe the ending without spoilers, the original work is a happy ending, while the drama feels like a true ending. Personally, the beauty of the Japanese language, the meaning of 'Jin' (benevolence), and the depth of emotion were packed into the final episode, surpassing the original work. Since then, I've watched many of Director Hirakawa's works.
